Manipur reports 70 Covid-19 positive, 27 recovered, 1 death cases

Imphal: Manipur on Sunday reported one Covid-19 related death case, 70 new Covid-19 positive cases and 27 recovered cases leading to 492 active cases in the state.
The fresh cases were from Central Armed Police (1), Imphal East (27), Imphal West (29), Thoubal (4), Kakching (2), Ukhrul (3), Churachandpur (3) and Kamjong (1).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The positivity rate was 12 percent.
The State Covid 19 Deaths Committee has reported a case of Covid-19 death of a 75 years old male from Imphal West. He was not vaccinated and had co-morbid conditions. The cumulative number of deaths is 2121, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
A total of 27 persons were discharged. They are from Home Isolation (22), RIMS (2) and Shija Hospital (3), it added.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,37,943. The recovery rate is 98.11 percent, it said.
As on Saturday, a total of 117 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 14 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
