Manipur CM confident Droupadi Murmu to become President of India

Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh expressed his confidence that the next President of India will be NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu while Congress Legislature Party leader Okram Ibobi regarded joint Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha as the most capable candidate for the next President of India.
Voting for the 16th Presidential election in respect of Manipur held at the Manipur Legislative Assembly, here on Monday.
Biren Singh was the first to cast vote here. BJP MLA SS Olish was the last to cast vote.
The chief minister told reporters here that among the 60 MLAs, around 55 votes were assumed to have casted in favour of NDA candidate. He appreciated the NDA supported MLAs for supporting the NDA candidate to elect the 16th President of India.
He said to promote the tribal people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi selected a tribal candidate representing NDA.
Ibobi said the joint Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha is the most capable candidate for the next President of India. He said Yashwant had been Union minister and Member of Parliament several times in his political career. He has enough political experience.
The result will show who is the most capable candidate to become next President. “In a democratic country like India there is no difference in religion or caste all the people are citizen of India whether tribal people or non-tribal people.”
It was reported that Olish conduct a Covid test in the morning as she had some symptoms.
She had symptoms for the past three days but the test result came negative and she cast her vote for the election, Biren replied to reporters.
