New 90 cases takes Covid-19 active cases to 576 in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur on Tuesday reported one Covid-19 related death case, 90 new cases and 50 recovered cases to give 576 active cases.
The death case belonged to Kakching. He was not vaccinated and had co-morbid conditions. The Covid related death cases have risen to 2122 in the state.
The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (8), JNIMS (7) and other testing centres (75).
They belonged to Imphal East (20), Imphal Wt (51), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (7), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (5), Tamenglong (1), Tengnoupal (1), Churachandpur (I) and Noney (1).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Covid-19 common control room said.
The positivity rate was 9.9 percent.
The 50 recovered persons were discharged from Home Isolation (42), RIMS (3) and SHRI (5).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,38,123. The recovery rate is 98.05 percent, the control room said.
As on Monday, a total of 86 D-typc oxygen cylinders and 26 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
