Covid-19 active cases rise to 624 in Manipur

Imphal: With the confirmation of 98 new positive cases and 50 recovered cases in Manipur, the Covid-19 active cases tally has gone up at 624 in the state.
The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (21), Imphal West (41), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (1). Kangpokpi (2), Jiribam (1). Ukhrul (3), Tamanglong (3), Phcrzawl (3), Churachandpur (15) and Chandel (1).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The positivity rate was 9.6 percent.
No Covid related death case was reported. The cumulative number of deaths was 2122.
The 50 recovered patients were discharged from Home Isolation (44) and JNIMS (6).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,38,221. The recovery rate is 98.01 percent, the control room said.
As on Tuesday a total of 86 D-type oxygen cylinders and 26 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
