People decry blast at RIMS director’s residence

Imphal: Decrying the bomb blast triggered at the residence of RIMS director Ahanthem Shanta, here on Monday night, local club members of Uripok Ahanthem Leikai Development Organisation and local Meira Paibies staged a protest rally at a community hall of Uripok Ahenthem Leikai, Imphal West on Wednesday.

General secretary of the development organisation Anoubam Arunkumar Sharma said the locals strongly condemnr the bomb blast occurred at the residential area. Any misunderstanding could be solved on a negotiating table instead of bomb attack at residential area.

He appealed those who are involved in the incident not to repeat,  instead, should try to solve any sort of misunderstanding without bringing violence.

Condemning the blast Association of RIMS Alumni signed by its secretary, Dr RK Lenin Singh issued a condemnation letter.

It said the association strongly condemn the violent act of hurling of a bomb at the residence of director, RIMS, A Shanta Singh on July 18.

“We strongly believe in cordial relationship between doctor and community. Requesting everyone to refrain from any violent act against the healthcare setups”.

No underground organisation or any individual has so far claimed responsible for the bomb attack.
