2 vaccinated Covid patients die, 89 more infected

Imphal: Two vaccinated Covid-19 patients passed away, 89 more got positive, 84 patients recovered and 627 cases were reported active in Manipur on Thursday.
The two fatalities were from Thoubal and Kakching.
“Both of them had co-morbidities, one of them had 1st dose of Covid vaccine and the other had 2nd dose of Covid vaccine,” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (15), JNIMS (3) and other testing centres (71). The cumulative number of Covid related deaths was 2024.
They belonged to Imphal East (16), Imphal West (45), Thoubal (7), Bislumpur (3), Kalcching (1), Senapati (2), Kamjong (4), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (7) and Chandel (3).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
The positivity rate was 8.3 percent.
The recovered cases were discharged from Home Isolation (67), RIMS (2), JNIMS (2) and SHRI (13).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,38,310. The recovery rate is 98.01 percent, the control room said.
