IRB aspirants storm at CM Biren’s residence with slogan “Resign chief minister”

Imphal: Demanding to declare the long awaited result of 10th and 11th Indian Reserved Battalion (IRB) recruitment immediately, ‘All Manipur 10th and 11th IRB viva voce completed candidates’ stormed at the residence of Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh, here on  Thursday.

The IRB candidates hold banners “June Gone, Promise Gone”, “10th and 11th IRB results, Ngashi Heyeng Thidana, Khudakta Haidokpiyu”.

The protestor shouted slogans “Declare result of IRB”, “Save life of youth”, “Resign chief minister who failed to fulfil promise” and others.

Immediately a team of Heingang police station to the spot and tried to control the protestor. Confrontation took place between police personnel and protestor. To control the protest, police lathi-charged the protestor and dispersed the protestor.

The police detained some protestor which were released after the situation was put under control.

Earlier, Biren had expressed that the result of 10th and 11th IRB result will be declared soon, possibly within June.
