127 Covid-19 patients recovered, 79 confirmed positive

Imphal: Manipur on Saturday reported 79 Covid-19 positive cases, 127 recovered cases leaving the active cases tally to 596 in the state.
The new cases were confirmed at RIMS (20), JNIMS (4) and other testing centres (55). They belonged to Imphal East (22), Imphal West (27), Thoubal (5), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (2), Kangpokpi (5), Kamjong (1), Ukhrul (2), Tamenglong (3), Tengnoupal (1), Churachandpur (8) and Chandel (1).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The positivity rate was 7.7 percent.
No Covid related death was reported. The cumulative number of deaths was 2124.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,38,468. The recovery rate is 98.04 percent, the control room said.
