Manipur reports 90 Covid-19 positive cases, 45 recovered cases, 1 dead case

Imphal: Covid-19 has infected 90 persons while 45 patients have been recovered, taking the active cases tally to 640 in Manipur on Sunday.
The new cases were confirmed as at RIMS (28), JNIMS (7) and other testing centres (55). They belonged to Imphal East (32), Imphal West (29), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (7), Kakching (1), Kangpokpi (1), Ukhrul (2), Senapati (2), Jiribam (2), Churachandpur (8) and Chandel (2).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The positivity rate rises to 13.9 percent.
With the death of one person, the cumulative number of Covid related deaths rose to 2125.
“The death person had co-morbidities and had 2nd dose of Covid vaccine,” the control room said.
The recovered persons were discharged Home Isolation (33), RIMS (4), JNIMS (2), SHRI (5) and Tamenglong (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,38,558 and the recovery rate is 98.00 percent, the control room said.
