Manipur reports 91 Covid-19 positive, 88 recovered cases

Imphal: Manipur on Tuesday reported 91 new Covid-19 positive cases, 88 recovered cases taking the active cases tally to 608.
The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (23), JNIMS (4) and other testing centres (64). They belonged to Imphal East (13), Imphal West (39), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (12), Kakching (5), Kangpokpi (1),Ukhrul (2), Senapati (6), Tamenglong(1), Tengnoupal (1), Churachandpur (7) and Chandel(2).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The positivity rate was 9 percent.
No Covid related death case was registered. The cumulative number of deaths stood at 2126.
The recovered cases were discharged, after completion of surveillance, from Home Isolation (68), RIMS (8), JNIMS (8) and SHRI (4).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,38,722. The recovery rate is 98.03 percent, the control room said.
