Arms recovered in Manipur

Imphal: ​Loktak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(South) along with team of Bishnupur Police commando recovered arms from Toronglaobi bus stand of Bishnupur district, Manipur on Tuesday.

One long range lathode (hand throw) with two lathode shells and a Chinese hand grenade were recovered.

​Based on specific inputs, the joint team launched an operation culminating in the recovery of arms and ammunition, the Assam Rifles said on Wednesday.

The recovered items were handed over to Moirang Police station for further investigation, it added.
