Covid-19 takes another life, 101 recovered, 77 get positive, active cases fall to 590 in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur on Thursday reported one Covid-19 related death case, 77 new cases, 101 recovered cases taking the active cases tally to 590.

The Covid fatality belonged to Imphal West. She had no so-morbidity and not vaccinated, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of deaths rose to 2129.

The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (5), JNIMS (2) and other testing centres (70). They belonged to Imphal East (10), Imphal West (37), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (4), Kakching (2), Kangpokpi (1), Ukhrul (3), Chumchandpur (13) and Chandel (4).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.

The positivity rate was 9.5 percent.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,38,886. The recovery rate is 98.04, the control room said
