Manipur Covid-19 active cases rise to 615

Imphal: With the confirmation of 98 new Covid-19 positive cases, recovery of 73 patients, the active cases tally has risen to 615 in Manipur on Friday.
The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (14), JNIMS (2) and other testing centres (82). They belonged to Imphal East (12), Imphal West (41), Thoubal (12), Bishnupur (9), Kakching (5), Kangpokpi (2), Jiribam (I), Ukhrul (1), Senapati (1), Tamenglong (2), Churachandpur (9) and Chandel (3).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The positivity rate was 13.5 percent.
With no death the cumulative number of deaths remained at 2129.
The recovered patients were discharged after completion of survelihmce from Home Isolation (57), RIMS (4), JNIMS (8) and SHRI (4).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,38,984. The recovery rate is 98.03 percent, the control room said.
