Asian bodybuilding medalists felicitated

Imphal: Mr. Asia bronze medalist in senior men’s body building Dinesh and 4th position holder in junior category Sushil were felicitated by Manipur Fitness Club, Palace Compound, Imphal East at the club on Saturday.

The competition was organised by Body Building Association of Maldives under Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation under the sponsorship of World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation. It was held during July 15- July 21 at Republic of Maldives.

Encouraging youths in sports and other physical activities is needed in the present society in support of the present government’s War on drugs campaign, state BJP president A. Sharda Devi said. A healthy mind can bring a healthy society by avoiding negative thoughts, she added .

In the present scenario the present government has been effectively taking various steps to avoid becoming victim of drug, she added. She appreciated the Manipur Fitness Club for opening such steps fitness centre to encourage the youths while building up their health.
