Manipur government hears Pherzawl people’s grievances

Imphal: Adhering to all necessary Covid safety guidelines, the District Administration, Pherzawl on Saturday organised district Hill Leaders’ Day and Meeyamgi Numit at the community hall of Pherzawl.

The programme was attended by the SP A. Ghaneshyam Sharma,  programme co-ordinator Ch. Sachi (ADM/Pherzawl), I.Dinesh Kumar Singh (SDO/BDO, Tipaimukh and Vangai), DLOs and village heads.

Deputy commissioner Joseph Pauline Kamson said the event’s primary objective is to bring about transparency and efficiency in the implementation of various welfare schemes of the government thereby ensuring better co-ordination of different department officials for speedy redressal and disposal of grievances to the public.

Appealing all to work harder and give maximum utmost co-operation by welcoming the government initiative for faster development of the district, he said the district still have many infrastructure development and the government is willing to do much more than what they have conceived for development of the new district.

Thanking the Public for their co-operation and active participation in the event, the deputy commissioner urged all to highlight their grievances and reap the benefits.

He heard the grievances of the people and instructed the concern line departments to follow-up for necessary redressal at the earliest.

A total of 11 applications and grievances were received by the deputy commissioner. Agriculture department provided 10 Knapsack Sprayer including three pesticides and growth hormones. ZEO distributed 10 uniforms and textbooks and presented a showcasing of bamboo works by Pherzawl Government High School,  horticulture and soil conservation department distributed vegetable seeds and saplings to three beneficiaries and the district social welfare gave out 10 MOAPS and CMWPS pension cards.

The SDO/BDO (Tipaimukh and Vangai Range) issued 30 Tribe/Income/Domicile certificates and the forest department distributed 1000 saplings.

The chief medical officer distributed 5 AB-PMJAY and 4 CMHT cards where 320 Covid doses were administered to the public at the venue.

Fifteen stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public.

Thr district Hill Leaders’ Day and Meeyamgi Numit will be held on every 4th Friday for Pherzawl district. If the 4th Friday falls on a general holiday then it will be held on the 4th Thursday of the month.
