Covid-19 active cases fall to 541 in Manipur

Imphal: With the recovery of 78 Covid-19 patients and confirmation of 37 new positive cases, the Covid active cases have been reduced to 541 in Manipur on Sunday.
The recovered cases were discharged after completion of surveillance from Home Isolation (52), RIMS (11), SHRI (2) and Discharge (13).
The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (10) and other testing centres (27).
They belonged to Imphal East (8), Imphal West (11), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (4), Kangpokpi (2), Senapati (2), Jiribam (1), Pherzawl (2), Churachandpur (5) and Chandel (I).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The positivity rate was 7.3 percent.
No Covid-19 related death case was registered. The cumulative number of deaths was 2129.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,39,074. The recovery rate is 98.08 percent, the control room said.
