JN Manipur Dance Academy campaigns for Har Ghar Tiranga

Imphal: Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) on Monday organised a celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at the Yaipha Lamjing Lup community hall, Pishumthong, Ningom Leirak, Imphal.

The campaign was organised to motivate the people to hoist the tricolor in their home for three days — August 13 to 15.

Lai-Haraoba, Pung Cholom, Dhol-Dholok, Nupa Pala and Vasanta Raas were ferformed by the artiste of JNMDA, Imphal. Shree Shree Radha Govinda Nupi Holi Dol Haobam Marak also presented Nupi Holi during the programme.

The function was led by YAS director T.Phulen Meitei, Imphal Municipal Council corporator Oinam Romeo Singh, Yaipha Lamjing Lup president Oinam Chaoba Singh and JNMDA director Pukhrambam Bilash Singh.

Stating that the constitution guaranteed fundamental rights and duties, Phulen appealed to the people that as a responsible citizen, every household must hoist the tricolor in their homes as part of the celebration of India’s 75th year of independence.

Local people and officials of the dance academy attended the function.
