Manipur reports 2 Covid-19 deaths, 48 positive cases, 91 recovered cases

Imphal: Manipur on Tuesday reported two Covid-19 related deaths, 48 positive cases and 91 recovered cases, pushing down the active cases to 456.
The death cases belonged to Imphal East. Both of them had co-morbidities, one of them was vaccinated with 1st dose and the other with 2nd dose, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The cumulative number of Covid related deaths has risen to 2131.
The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (7), JNIMS (1) and other testing centres (40). The positivity rate was 6.5 percent.
The new cases belonged to Imphal East (10), Imphal West (18), Thoubal (I), Kakching (I), Kamjong (1), Kangpokpi (1), Ukhrul (I), Churachandpur (14) and Chandel (1).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
The recovered cases were discharged after completion of surveillance from Home Isolation (76), RIMS (4), JN1MS (7) and SHRI (4).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,39,181. The recovery rate is 98.14 percent, the control room said.
