Manipur’s Sushila wins CWG Silver for India

Imphal: Judoka Sushila Devi Likmabam from Manipur has won Silver medal for India in the Commonwealth Games (CWG) on Monday.

Sushila lost to South Africa’s Michaela Whitebooi in the women’s 48kg finals.

“Heartiest congratulations to Sushila Devi Likmabam on bagging the Silver medal in the CWG 2022, 48 kg Judo event. The entire nation is proud to have an excellent judoka like you,” chief minister N. Biren Singh writes on his Facebook wall.

This is the third CWG2022 medal contributed by Manipuri players for the Nation so far, he added.

Weightlifters Mirabai Chanu bagged Gold medal and Bindyarani Sorokhaibam won Silver medal in 49 kg category and 55 kg category respectively.
