Covid-19 active cases fall to 431, positivity rate to 4.7 percent in Manipur

Imphal: A total of 32 Covid-19 positive cases, 57 recovered cases and no death case were reported in Manipur on Wednesday.
The Covid-19 active cases dropped to 431 as against 456 of Tuesday. The positivity rate was dropped to 4.7 percent as against 6.5 percent of Tuesday.
The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (3) and other testing centres (29). They belonged to Imphal East (4), Imphal West (11), Thoubal (5), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (2), Noney (I), Ukhrul (3), Senapati (2) and Chandel (I).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The cumulative number of deaths is 2131, it added.
The recovered persons were discharged after completion of surveillance from Home Isolation (45), RIMS (6), SHRI (4), Tamenglong (1) and Chandel (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,39,213 and the recovery rate is 98.16 percent, the control room said.
