PWD web portal launched

Imphal: To provide the latest and authenticated informations to the people works minister K. Govindas on Thursday launched Web Portal hftps://pwdmanipur.mn.gov.in of public works departrnent (PWD) in the presence of officials of the department at the conference hall of his office, Old Secretariat, Babupara, Imphal.

Briefing the media persons, the minister said the launching of portal will not only save time and give convenient for the people to take permission from the authorities but also can identify the detail of quarters like occupants, unauthorized occupants etc.

He said the portal was launched under the guidance of chief minister N. Biren Singh to avoid hustle and bustle of bargaining to ministers and authorities.

The portal also aimed at to apply document through online he said stating that the activities and programmes of the department will be uploaded after due process for more transparency of the functioning of the department and can be seen through the web. Any suggestions also can be sent through the portal web, he added.

The department also will manage for the update of the portal according to the need of time by using experts in IT field within three months. The web portal will work as a window through which people will know all the functioning and and programmes by sitting at home, the minister said.
