Two NRFM cadres held

Imphal: ​Khoupum battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(South) in a joint operation with Manipur Police commando apprehended two active cadres of proscribed group NRFM in Bishnupur and Imphal West districts of Manipur on Thursday.

Based on specific information, the troops of Assam Rifles along with Manipur Police commando launched an operation which led to the apprehension of insurgents.

The apprehended insurgents were handed over to Kumbi Police station for further investigation, the Assam Rifles said.
