Covid-19 takes 3 lives, infects 33 persons

Imphal: Manipur on Saturday reported three Covid-19 related death cases, 33 new positive cases and 51 recovered cases taking the active cases tally to 276.
The death cases belonged to Churachandpur, Kangpokpi and Tengnoupal.
“Out of them two had co-morbidities, one had 2nd dose of Covid vaccine and another one had precautionary dose of Covid vaccine,” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The cumulative number of deaths is 2136, it added.
The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (9), Imphal West (8), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (1), Kamjong ( I), Kangpokpi (1), Ukhrul (3), Senapati (1), Tengnoupal (I) Noney (1) and Churachandpur (4).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
The recovered cases were discharged after completion of surveillance from Home Isolation (44), RIMS (2), JNIMS (1) and SHRI (4).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,39,328. The recovery rate is 98.27, the control room said.
