Har Ghar Tiranga Manipur Marathon

Imphal: As a part of the celebration of 75th years of India Independence, Manipur BJP unit under the aegis of Athletic Association of Manipur will organise “Har Ghar Tiranga Manipur Marathon, 2022” on August 12.

General secretary, BJP Manipur, Premananda Meeitei said the present government has been celebrating 75th years of India Independence as “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the central government is targeting to hoist Indian Tricolour flag at over 2 crores households.

As a celebration state BJP will be organising songs, painting, extempore speech and others based on patriotism from August 9 to 15 at various places of Manipur. Apart from various events based on patriotism, the state BJP will be organising “Har Ghar Tiranga Manipur Marathon, 2022”.

The marathon will have male and female categories. Chief minister N. Biren Singh along with state BJP president A. Sharda Devi will flag off the marathon from Maibam Lotpa Ching, Bishnupur district and will destined at Khuman Lampak Main stadium.

For each categories in the marathon first price will be a sum of Rs 1 lakh each, second price will be Rs 50,000 and third price will be Rs 20,000 with certificates. There will be consolation price for 4th to 15th position holders with cash and certificates.

The participation forms for marathon will be available at BJP offices of state including party head office.
