Police conduct search operation in Imphal city

Imphal: Ahead of the independence Day Imphal West Police conducted cordon and search operation (CASO) in Imphal city on Saturday.
A surprise CASO was conducted at kasturi crossing of Thangal bazar side covering Dharmasala, Yaima store stretch, Bora gali and Alu gali by teams of Imphal West police commandos from 4.35pm to 5.05 pm, a police report said.
During verification, around 135 individuals were verified properly at the said area. Five persons were picked up and handed over to city police station for further verifications, it added.
