‘Allegation of Indigenous Manipuri Muslim Development Organisation is baseless’

Imphal: Pradhan of Kiyamgei Muslim Arapti Gram Panchayat, Md Saphauddin said the allegation from a civil society organisation, Indigenous Manipuri Muslim Development Organisation that the Gram Panchayat misused funds of MGNREGA is baseless.

Saphauddin claimed that Indigenous Manipuri Muslim Development Organisation is a fake organisation trying to defame him.

Saphauddin told reporters on Wednesday that Indigenous Manipuri Muslim Development Organisation is a fake organisation which tries to defame and mislead the people in connection with the development works carried under the jurisdiction of the Gram Panchayat.

He said in social media the fake organisation circulated a post that in the name of digging a community pond at Kiyamgei Muslim Arapti Gram Panchayat, ward number II, Zilla Parisad member of the gram panchayat has misused huge amount of funds issued under MGNREGA. He clarified that no such community dug pond in the said area.

He appealed the authority concerned to find out such fake organizstion and take necessary action for trying to mislead people.
