Security measures in Imphal continues

Imphal: As a preventive measure in connection with the upcoming Independence Day celebration, a cordon and search operation was conducted at Sanmati trader area of Thangal bazar side covering Alu gali, kasturi crossing and Ema Keithel by a teams of commando, Imphal West district on Wednesday.

The operation was conducted from 4.50 pm to 5.20 pm. Around 185 individuals were verified.

During the verification eight persons who failed to produce any identification certificate were picked up and handed over to City Police for further verification.
