Manipur Covid-19 active cases dropped to 226 in Manipur

Imphal: With the recovery of 42 Covid-19 patients and confirmation of 26 new positive cases, the active cases in Manipur have been decreased to 226 in the state on Thursday.

One belonging to Imphal West died. He had co-morbidities and had 1st Dose of Covid vaccine. The cumulative number of Covid related deaths rose to 2141.

The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (2), JNIMS (2) and other testing centres (22). They belonged to Imphal East (6), Imphal West (10). Thdubal (2). Bishnupur (2), Ukhrul (2), Chandel (1) and Churachandpur (3).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,39,472 and the recovery rate is 98.30 percent, the control room said.
