26 new Covid-19 cases push active cases tally to 156 in Manipur on Wednesday

Imphal: Manipur on Wednesday reported  26 new Covid-19 positive cases and 19 recovered cases taking the active cases tally to 156.

The new cases belonged to Imphal East (8), Imphal West (5), Thoubal, Bishnupur (4), Kakching (2), Senapati (2), Kangpokpi (1), Ukhrul (1), Chandel (1) and Churachandpur (I). The positivity rate was 3.8 percent.

With no death cases, the cumulative number of Covid related deaths remained at 2143.

The recovered persons were discharged after completion of surveillance from Home Isolation (13), RIMS (1), JNIMS (1), SHRI (3) and CAPF (1).

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,39,563 and the recovery rate is 98.35 percent, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
