lmphal: Manipur government has declared Thursday as half holiday for all government offices and educational institutions to enable the government employees and others to watch the first match of Imphal edition of 131st Durand Cup, 2022 at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, here.
The half holiday includes public sector undertakings, corporations, autonomous bodies under the government of Manipur, said an order issued by deputy secretary (GAD) Sunanda Thokchom.
A notification issued by traffic Control Police said, in connection with the visit of the defence minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday at Khurnan Lampak Main Stadium for inaugural function of of Manipur edition of the Durand Cup, there will be traffic diversion from 1:00 pm till the function is over.
The diversions are arranged in the interest and safety of the general public, it added.
There will be no through fare from Pandon to Assam Rifle transit camp for the general public, except car pass vehicles. Entrance for general public in vehicle will be at Gate No. 2, near the Indoor Stadium from MMTA side. Entrance for general public on foot with ticket will be at Gate No. 3 and Gate No 4 along the Dingku road. Public parking for vehicles entering from Gate No. 2 (near indoor stadium) will be at basketball ground near hockey stadium and parking area opposite to the indoor stdium, the notification said.
The Imphal derby between Neroca FC (NFC) and TRAU FC (TFC) and the much awaited Durand Cup debut of Mumbai City FC (MCFC) will highlight Matchday 3.
