“Sanarik Pareng”, “Sahitiyada Rass Nongpok Amasung Nongchup” released


Imphal: “Sanarik Pareng”, a book consisting of several short stories compiled by Rk Noyonsana, chief patron of the North East Biography Forum (NEBF) and another book “Sahitiyada Rass Nongpok Amasung Nongchup” written by assistant professor, Manipur University, N. Sanatomba were released on Saturday.

The books were released on Foundation day of the biography forum cum annual award distribution conducted at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, here.

The programme was jointly organised by ‘Panthoibi Cultural Research Centre for performing arts’ in collaboration with NEBF under the theme “Ngasigee Meerolna Heyenggeedamak”.

Chief patron of the forum and chairperson of Manipur State Social Welfare Board RK Nayonsana, national secretary of Bharatiya Dalit Shahitiya Academy, New Delhi, Y Mahendrakumar, lifetime member of the forum, Kh Chinglen, former MLA Prithiviraj and former MLA, Md Amin Shah attended the function among others.

Noyonsana said due to the pandemic NEBF has not been able to distribute annual award, however as the situation of the pandemic is getting better the programme is being organised.

She said the book “Sanarik” is a compiled story book of 17 different short stories and she dedicated the story book to her late son Jaydeep Gurumayum.

During the programme annual cash award, regional award, state level award and national and international awards were delivered to different renowned persons.
