The teachers in the association had taken mass casual leave on Wednesday and Thursday demanding not to change head of account for salary disbursement.

The ongoing agitation demanded not to change the head of account of the government.

“We will not take our salary if the government releases the salary under a new different head of account,” the teachers’ leader said.

The teachers’ body allegedly condemns divide and rule policy among teachers under education (s). It said, the teachers are being victimized repeatedly by the department. It said they were integrated into the department of education (S) after a long struggle for their legitimate right and now using the divide and rule policy, the department had issued a letter on August 23.

“We are being pushed back in the condition we were before the integration,”  The very order for a separate head of account for 3480 teachers who were integrated to the department on July 23, 2020 seems only an interim pacifier for ‘our long struggle and it seems we again have to rise to challenge the confusing and vague order of separate head of account for us’, it said.
