Two thieves apprehended at Imphal Ima Market


Imphal: Kanglei Economic Development Organisation (KEDO) members on Thursday apprehended two thieves while trying to steal belongings of women market vendors of Keithel (market) number 2, Imoinu Ima Keithel of Khwairamband Ima Market.

The thieves have been identified as one Lourembam Manichandra, 37, son of L. Amu of Heirangoithong Maibam Leikai, Imphal West and Tongbram Budhichandra, son of Tongbram Angou of Takyel Kolom Leikai, Imphal West.

They were nabbed after apprehending two drug users on Wednesday by the KEDO members.

Manichandra and Budhachandra were suspected to be drug users.

After giving them advice by the volunteers of KEDO and Khwairamband women vendors, they were handed over to City Police for further necessary action.
