Insurgents involved in ‘killing and threatening’ non-locals arrested

Imphal: Cops of Andro Police station, Imphal East, on Saturday evening, nabbed two persons who were allegedly involved the transportation of gun which was used of killing of one non-Manipuri at Uchol chingjin and keeping a hand granade near the temporary work shed (khola) of non-local workers at Andro respectively.
They were identified as Hijam Sanatomba Singh, 25, son of Hijam Pollo Singh of Andro khuman Leikai and Hijam Itomba Singh, 32, son of H. Surochandra Singh of Andro Leitanpekpham.
Sanajaoba, according to a police report, was a cadre of proscribed PLA organisation was involved the transportation of gun which was used of killing of one non-Manipuri at Uchol chingjin along Ngarian Andro road which was occurred on July 8. He has completed basic training in Burma on 2016 and his army number is 3285, the police report said.
Itomba was involved the keeping of one hand granade near the temporary work shed of non-local workers at Andro Sanathei park in the intervening night June 2 and 3, it added.
