Cough syrup smuggler arrested

Imphal: Manipur Police’s Imphal East commando team on Thursday nabbed a drug smuggler from Mantripukhri Bazar near Durga Mandir at 11:40 pm.

The smuggler was identified as Thanglemmuan, 21, of Lalzomlien Veng, Cheingkonpang Churachandpur district.

The police seized 300 bottles of Cough Syrup which are labeled as ‘MMD Cough Syrup’ , one mobile phone,  one AADAR Card and one white vehicle (TATA Winger) bearing registration number MN 06LA/3936 from his possession.

The arrested person and the seized items were being handed over to Heingang Police station for taking up necessary legal action against him.
