NPP, JD(U) candidates join BJP

Imphal: Saikot NPP candidate Khaipao Haokip and Kakching JD(U) candidate Naorem Nabachandra who contested in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election have joined BJP.

In connection with the joining of two new members a reception ceremony was organised at State BJP office located at Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal on Sunday evening.

The two new members were felicitated by state president A.Sharda Devi with party stoles.

Khaipao Haokip was district president of BJP, Churachandpur and also working as state executive member of the party. However, during the distribution of party ticket in 12th Manipur Legislative Election the party ticket was not allotted to him and due to the reason he contested the election on NPP ticket.
