Shiv Sena Manipur president to join national executive council meeting over tussle with BJP


Imphal: State Shiv Sena, Manipur president M. Tombi departed for Delhi to join National Executive Council meeting to discuss the present tussle of BJP and Shiv Sena.

Tombi told reporters here on Monday that he will be departing for Delhi to join the National Executive Council meeting to be held on Tuesday.

In the present situation of faction in national Shiv Sena party, Bharatiya Janata Party might not go along with Shiv Sena and to discuss the matter the national executive council meeting is to be held on Tuesday, he said.

He appealed the leaders of two Shiv Sena leaders Eknath Shinde and Uddhav Thakre to rejoin and work with cooperation. Shiv Sena has been continuing its political alliance with the RSS at national level for the last 27 years and urged the national party leaders to take necessary steps for the welfare of the party, he added.

Tombi said during the meeting, agenda for the upcoming 3-tier election to be held on Manipur will also be discussed.

He appealed the authority concerned to do the filter work of voters sincerely by going at ground level instead of doing work on the table.

In the coming 3-tier election if Shiv Sena open its account then the party will start giving priority to root out corruption with zero tolerance.

Meanwhile, state Shiv Sena welcome three new members at its party office.
