Health minister lays foundation stone for 50-bedded sub-district hospital, trauma centre, amusement park

Imphal: Manipur health mnister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh has laid foundation stone for the construction of a Trauma Centre at CHC, Nungba, a 50-bedded sub-district hospital and an amusement park at Rangpang, Longmai in Noney district on Tuesday.
Ranjan said primary health care system needs to be focused and improved.
Without strengthening primary health care, tertiary health care system will hardly be able to be improved. The government is trying to improve overall health care system in the state. All the sections under medical department need to join hands and work with dedication for bringing a change in this sector, he added.
The government has launched many health care schemes at the state and central level. TB Mukt Bharat, PMJAY, Ayushman Bharat Abhiyan, Chief Minister’s Hakshel for All, CMHA etc. are some of the examples which may be cited. The government has set 2025 as target for complete elimination of TB disease from the country which is five years ahead of the WHO target, he added.
The minister assured for the construction of buildings at those areas where there is no physical building at primary health centres in Noney district. He also assured that required machines and equipment of the CHC and PHCs in Noney will be provided on priority basis.
He appealed to all the concerned medical professionals and staffs to serve the public with dedication and sincerity.
Ranjan advised to maintain and keep the hospital and its surroundings need and clean. He also added that the staffs need to have the sense of belongingness.
The minister inspected the present status of the CHC, Noney and also interacted with the staffs.
