Workshop cum production on 12 Men concludes


Imphal: The monthlong workshop cum production of ’12 Men’, a typical taal (rhythm) of Nata Sankirtana, organised by the Sri Hari Nata Sankirtana Academy, Keisamthong Maning  Longjam Leikai, concluded on Wednesday at Progressive Artists Laboratory (PAL) auditorium.

The workshop cum production participated by 14 Nata Sankirtana artistes was organised with the financial support of the ministry of culture under Functional and Production Grant scheme.

Guru Phanjaobam Iboton Singh, Moirangthem Surchandra Singh, president Sri Hari Nata Sankirtana Academy and N. Tiken Singh, director, Progress Artistes Laboratory (PAL) graced the closing function and production as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Sri Hari Nata Sankirtana Academy earlier organised workshops and festival on Nata Sankirtana  music of Manipur with the support of the culture ministry for the last five years.
