Imphal: The Nungba Area Village Authority Association (NAVAA), RNCM Luangba Luangrian, RNLPM Luangba Luangrian, RNSOM Luangba Luangrian and NAJAC have condemned planting of ‘deadly explosive bomb’ on Saturday allegedly by one CRPF personnel ‘at the behest of 39 Assam Rifles Nungba Outpost’ at Puiluanh (Kambiron), revered historical village of national freedom fighter Haipou Jadonang.
The civil bodies say the CRPF personnel was Thiyam Ashok Singh, CT/INT FORCE No. 055154631 of 87 Bn CRPF.
“This is the fourth consecutive incident of planting Bomb in Nungba Area during the last 4 years with no reason known and all stage managed devised and engineered drama of Assam Rifles. Such act of terrorism is outdated, a crime against society and humanity and gross violation of human right. The conspiracy of the Indian Security forces still haunts and has no room in present society,” a joint press release said on Sunday.
The organisations are deeply concerned with the workings and attitude of Indian Government and its security forces against and upon the Nagas. The planting of five fatal bombs by the Indian security Forces who claim to be the security of the people at the exact village of the freedom fighter Haipou Jadonang who is revered by all walk of life is an utter surprise but not unexpected and not a new subject, an act of cowards who can never be trusted, it added.
Planting bomb in a peace zone trying to create fears, tensions and mistrust, only to get ‘good boy’ comment from their higher officer is an absolute act of cowardice and foolishness having no space in advanced society, the organisations said.
“The 24th September 2022 stage managed planting of live bomb by man security forces happened when the villagers found suspicious with the movement of Shri Thiyam Ashok Singh, CRPF Personnel (INT) in civil dress,” the statement mentioned.
The rising errant mobs in anger with the culprit and security forces had compelled the women folks and village leaders to put the culprit at the safe custody of village Women for further questioning, it said.
The culprit was brought before the Puiluanh Pei (Village Customary Court) accompanied by Assistant Commandant 87 Bn CRPF where he contessed and admitted to his involvement of planting bomb at the behest of / under the instruction of 39 Assam Rifles Nungba. Fines were imposed upon the Culprit as per the Customary Law of the Rongmei Naga Tribe by the Puiluanh Pei, it added.
“This direct continuous involvement in the act of terrorism against the innocent public is a serious heinous crime by Indian Security Forces,” it said.
“Those CRPF Personnel and Assam Rifles involved should be booked, punished by the court of Law or the peoples of Nungba Area will start a wave of democratic agitation and not remain as mute spectator,” the organisations cautioned.
The organisations anticipate the Indian Government and security forces to stop ‘such barbarism’ and focus more on the bright side of the peoples, they said.
The joint organisations appealed to all likeminded civil society organisations and people to come forward condemning such inhuman incident for peaceful co-existence, the joint statement said.
