The CSOs have been very instrumental in helping raise awareness about the need to protect and conserve the wildlife of the state.
Football being a very popular sports enjoyed by all, the platform is used as a way to bring community together, to bloster support for each other.
The DFO/ Kangpokpi Forest Division, N Ganesh said the support from CSOs is really appreciated as department alone will not be as successful in protection and conservation efforts as compared to when the CSOs take active part. Besides, protecting wildlife should not be mistaken to be the duty of only the department but it is a precious resource for all and every one should support it actively, he added.
He appealed to the public not to indulge in any activity that goes against the law and to be compassionate towards them as human shares the planet with the wildlife and that they have as much right to live as humans do.
