Biren congratulates Manipur women’s football team

Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh has congratulated the state women’s football team on winning Gold in the National Games 2022 at the Eka Arena Transstadia in Ahmedabad on Monday.

Manipur beat Odisha 2-0.

“Hearty congratulations to the Manipur Women’s Football team on winning the Gold in National Games 2022. Your hard work, perseverance and determination have paid off and made us extremely proud today. Keep up the great work,” Biren writes on his Facebook wall .

Manipur captain and ace forward N. Bala Devi scored the first goal in the 10th minute, while N. Ratanbala Devi doubled the score in the 36th minute to retain the title.
