DM College of Arts to represent Manipur in Red Ribbon quiz

Imphal:  Elangbam Jemson Singh and Ngangom Kanta Meitei of DM College of Arts will represent Manipur in the North East Regional Red Ribbon Club Quiz Competition 2022 to be held at Kohima.

The duo stood first position in the final of the 3rd state level Red Ribbon Club Quiz Competition 2022 held on October 19 at Kuki Inn, Imphal. The competition was organised by Manipur State AIDS Control Society.

Solanwor Kashung and Stephen Rungsungh of Pettigrew College Ukhrul and Naorem Prithiviraj Singh and Mayanglambam Milan Singh of Kha Manipur College Kakching bagged the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. While Machunlu Inka and Miruanding Newme of Tamenglong College won the consolation prize.

The state level competition was organised after district level competitions held in old 9 districts of the state. The district level competitions were held on October 11. Twenty-nine teams from 20 colleges took part in the competition.

The Red Ribbon Club Quiz Competition is an annual quiz event for RRCs in colleges across the nation. It is conducted at the national level by National AIDS Control Organisation to promote and generate HIV/AIDS awareness among youth.

For participating in the national competition, state representatives are selected from district, state and regional level competitions.
