Imphal: Shiv Sena (Uddav Balashaheb Thackeray) has sown seed in Manipur and inaugurated its party office at Singjamei, Imphal West on Thursday.
President of Shiv Sena (Uddav Balashaheb Thackeray) Manipur State Unit, Toijam Debananda Singh said after faction of national Shiv Sena party there was no state Shiv Sena party in Manipur under the leadership of Uddav Balashaheb Thackeray. After conducting a meeting at Shivaji park, Mumbai among the central party leaders and as per instruction from the central leaders, the state unit office is inaugurated here in Imphal, he added.
The party will be serving for welfare and interest of the people of Manipur, he said.
Election commission of India has also allotted a ‘flaming torch’ as party symbol and the commission had frozen the earlier party symbol ‘Bow and Arrow’, Debananda said.
Vice president (administration) of the new Shiv Sena state unit, Sam Laithangbam said the present political party is not related to any political party with a separate entity. He said like-minded people are welcome to join the party and to field in the coming elections including IMC, ADC and Panchayat. The party is also planning to take part in the MP election contest, he added.
As per directives from the central leaders Ninghor Jajo and Khaidem Ranjit Singh has been appointed as state vice-president; RK Suraj Singh as general secretary (administration); Thokchom Bhubon as general secretary (organisation); Nambam Jugish Singh as treasurer; Ch. Chandramani Singh as joint secretary (organisation) and Chirom Gitan Singh as spokesperson.
