Assam Rifles seizes Illegal cash

Imphal: ​Shangshak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) recovered illegal cash at Mongkotchepu village, Ukhrul district on Friday.

​During checking at Mobile Vehicle Check Post, troops of Assam Rifles recovered cash amounting Rs 6.68 lakh from a TVS Scooty vehicle. The two wheeler with rider was moving from Imphal to Ukhrul. On enquiring, individual failed to produce any legitimate source of cash, the Assam Rifles said.

​The seized cash along with the apprehended individual was handed over to Litan Police station for further investigation.
