Imphal Police station gets first position in Lagao drive competition

Imphal: Imphal Police station stood first position in Imphal West Lagao drive competition conducted during this Diwali season.

Imphal Police station recovered 88 sets of Lagao dices ( 528 pieces) and won a reward of Rs 20000.

Mayang Imphal Police station recovered 53 sets of Lagao dices ( 318 pieces) to stand at the second position. It won a sum of Rs 15000.

Sekmai Police station got third positionby recovering 50 sets of Lagao dices (300 pieces) and won Rs 10000.

The Special Best of the Best prize was won by Commando Imphal West for recovery of 238 sets of Lagao dices ( 1428 pieces) and won Rs 20000.

The highest individual recovery prize that carry Rs 10000 was won by sub-inspector L. Shitaljit Singh of Commando, Imphal West for recovering 51 sets of Lagao dices.

All the Lagao Dices are being disposed at Lamdeng on Sunday evening, a police statement said.

The dice game of gambling,  locally known as Lagao Khaoba or Diwali Khaoba, is played at different parts of the state during Diwali season.
