One nabbed with Heroin

Imphal: In continuation of the police actions under ‘War on Drugs’, a special team of Imphal West district police seized 185 gm of Heroin powder and arrested a person at around 3.20pm on Tuesday.

The arrested person was identified as one Amir Khan, 27, son of Nasir Khan of Lilong Haoreibi Sambru Makhong, Imphal West district.

Amir was detained during frisking and checking by the police team at Mayang Imphal Bengoon area. On checking 15 soap cases containing to be suspected Heroin powder weighing a total of 185 gm without the weight of soap case were detected from his possession, police said.

Amir was arrested and seized the detected suspected heroin powder at the spot, it added.

The arrested person along with the seizure has been handed over to Mayang Imphal Police station for further necessary action, the police said.
