‘Manipur Orange festival will be held in grand manner after 2 years’

Imphal: The vibrant and colorful festival is coming back after being stopped for two years due to Covid-19 pandemic, and it will be held in a grand manner again.

This was stated by chief minister N. Biren Singh on his Facebook wall.

Biren chaired a meeting with the ‘Organizing Committee of the Orange Festival’ at his secretariat on Monday.

The state has been putting efforts to assist the farmers in increasing their productivity through various schemes and programs and providing marketing platforms to enhance their business and income, he said.

“We are also planning to establish the Tourist Police in Manipur,” he added.

The state level orange festival was last organised for three days at Tamenglong district in December 2019.
