Two nabbed with 1 kg Brown Sugar

Imphal: As a part of War on drugs 2.0, a team of NAB (Narcotics and Affairs on Border)-police station arrested two persons from Yairipok Khoirom, Thoubal district along Kasom road and seized 1.015  kg of suspected Brown Sugar.

The duo were nabbed while conducting random checking by the NAB team.

They were identified as Thangneo Vaiphei, 35, son of Ginlian Vaiphei  of Khumunnom village (Horton Vaiphei village), Kangpokpi district and Lenpu Vaiphei, 35, son of Mangneo Suantak of Nongamaijing Tampak (Haokhong village).

The team also recovered and seized one black  Kenbo bike 125i  without registration number and two mobile phones from their possession.

A case was registered at NAB-PS and the two accused persons are remanded in Police custody fir seven days till November 15.

Further investigation is taken up for investigation and to find out the links and source of the suspected drug and Kenbo bike, superintendent of police K. Meghachandra said.
