Imphal: The present education system cannot be implemented practically sometimes though it is theoretically good, chairman of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur, Ch. Sarat Singh said on Friday.
Sarat was speaking during Annual Day Celebration, 2022 of Brilliance School, Malom Tulihal, Imphal West.
To make the present education system practical a collective effort is needed from teachers, students and the society, he said.
Some people are still confused regarding the New Education Policy (NEP), 2020. They need not to be, as the central government is implementing the new education policy for the welfare of the students as well as for the society, he added.
Implementation of NEP, 2020 will also bring promotion to the traditional culture of Manipur, he added.
President, All Manipur Working Journalist Union (AMWJU), Wangkhemcha Shamjai said there are many talented students in various fields including education, sports and other co-curricular activities. In order to know the talents of students talent hunt need to be organised frequently, he added.
He said there are three types of schooling in life which are home, school and society.
Meanwhile, state awardee journalist, Maibam Kenedy Singh, who is also a passed out student of the school, was facilitated during the function.
Prizes were distributed to winners the school annual sports and literary.
